Hey!
I lost .2 pounds. I want to be sarcastic but really, what’s the point? This weight loss thing is much more difficult than when I was younger. And, to be honest, I’ve been throwing little potholes of my own making into my weight loss path, so if there‘s sarcasm, it must be aimed at my own little self.
Two things I’m going to do (or not do) this week:
1. No saltines and cookies in the house. When I was having the stomach problems, I started buying saltines. They are little booby traps! They’re small and seemingly non-caloric and they jump into my mouth by the fistful. And cookies?? ‘Nuff said. They are now banned from the house!
2. I do some exercise every day but The Husband has been wanting to resume our walks around our neighborhood, so we’ll start again tonight. Hopefully, that will jump start some losing!
So, I’m off to the grocery store to stock up on oranges and yogurt and other good things to set myself up for a GOOD week.
C’est la vie!

Daily Check In #1
Hey!
Weight to lose: 46 lbs
Calories consumed: 1500?
Minutes of Exercise: 50: 35 walking DVD (Leslie Sansone) and 15 weights and yoga
Wins: Using the walking DVD again. The Husbands' back is better, so we'll start walking again tomorrow night and I might walk at work as well.
Losses: Too much junk food still at home calling to me. Didn't really plan out dinner tonight so probably ate too much
Went grocery shopping tonight and got lots of salad fixings and yogurt and waters.
The process continues...

A Healthy Start
Hey!
The Husband and I were lamenting our big bellies this morning, post-huge ass Valentine’s dinner. We both want to eat better but (list excuses here).
So, after talking about the Jack LaLaine theory of not eating anything made by man and deciding our bodies would go into permanent shock if we cut out food in boxes and cans, we decided to start this healthy eating thing one step at a time.
Step One: Start eating only fruit or yogurt for snacks. Of course, we have to eat our way through the “healthy” bars and Valentine candy first… Well, we can throw in a banana during the day and an orange at night. And The Husband is back to drinking fruit juices and vegetable juice with a hit of Tabasco, and, even though whole fruit is the ideal, juices are better than sugar filled soda.
My eventual goal is to cut out foods with ingredients I can’t pronounce. All in good time, my pretty. All in good time!
