Weight Watchers Fifth Week

Hey!

Didn’t I tell you that if I kept doing the right things, my weight loss would catch up to me? Lost 1.6 pounds this week! I think weight is a funny thing with a life of it’s own. You do all the right things, you lose it but it doesn’t want to go. It clings to you as water weight or something some weeks… Anyway, Buh Bye 1.6 pounds! Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out!

Cindy, my WW leader, is already talking about The Season, which technically starts with Halloween and continues on till New Years. We had an all day pot luck at work (thankfully, the food wasn’t right in my path so I wasn’t constantly tempted) and all I had were two teeny tiny thin miniscule slices of pumpkin pie, my absolutely favorite thing during the holidays. When I went home, I had a 3 point dinner and no dessert (usually yogurt and fruit). Pumpkin’s a fruit, right? Or a veggie… Either way, pie made from fruits or veggies is good food. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!

I didn’t use Halloween as an excuse to buy bags of bite sized candy. We haven’t had trick or treater’s since the 90’s, so I know they’ll just be in the house, calling to me. Better someone else buys them and deals with their siren song!

Here’s my favorite crackers of the moment. They are outrageously high in fiber and, unfortunately, cost. I try to catch them on sale but sometimes… The purse suffers… Anyway, they’re very tasty, both the original and Garlic, and one serving (18 crackers) is two points. Sometimes I just do one serving, which is satisfying. And, yes, I stand at my kitchen counter and count out 9 or 18 crackers to take to work. Ahem… Don’t look at me like that--1.6 pounds, remember?!

C’est la vie!
